2023 wasn’t my best reading year in terms of the amount of books that I read. But here are the top books that I read in 2023 in no particular order because, just like with my children, I can’t possibly choose a favorite!
The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young
Adrienne Young is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! This story talks about a curse that befalls the Farrow women and how this young woman is willing to risk everything to break it.
Zero Days by Ruth Ware
I have yet to read a Ruth Ware book that I didn’t like. This is a story about a woman’s race to clear her name and find her husband’s murderer.
None of this is true by Lisa Jewell
This psychological thriller is about a woman who finds herself the subject of her own true crime podcast. This book made me question where the plot was heading around every turn.
The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hildebrand
A beautiful story of friendship, love, and the finding of one’s self. This story is about a woman who hosts a getaway weekend with friends from different times of her life. I felt connected to each of these characters in different ways.
Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan
A murder, an love story I can still remember, secrets, and the length one will go to preserve themselves told in a way that only Jodi Picoult knows how to tell.
